The Extension is built on a 6.5 hectare island reclaimed from the harbor located just in front of the existing Centre and houses three new Exhibition Halls stacked one on top of the other.  The total G.F.A. of the extension is about 156,000 m².

The development included a 26,000 m² Convention Hall with pre-function space providing 4,200 seats located on the north end, meeting rooms of varying sizes up to 750m² on two floors totaling 3,000m², related ancillary support facilities; restaurants and a basement for mechanical plants and car parking.
