This landmark institutional development represents a significant transformation of an existing educational campus into a contemporary, future-oriented tertiary education environment. The project comprises a multi-phased revitalisation and expansion programme, including the adaptive reuse and refurbishment of existing academic facilities, demolition and redevelopment works, and the future development of new teaching block extensions to support the long-term growth of Saint Francis University.

The Saint Francis University Satellite Campus is located in Sha Tin on a site of approximately 5,007.5 m², comprising existing educational buildings including a 7 storey Workshop and Classroom Block and a 7 storey Annex Block.

Phase 1A focuses on the revitalisation of the existing Workshop and Classroom Block together with the Annex Block, incorporating upgraded lecture theatres, specialist laboratories, collaborative learning environments, and modern campus facilities designed to accommodate evolving pedagogical and operational needs. Future phases will further expand the campus through the development of new teaching block extensions under an integrated campus planning strategy.

Our commission encompasses comprehensive Building Services Engineering consultancy, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) coordination and Lighting Design services, supporting seamless multidisciplinary integration throughout the planning, design, and implementation stages of the development.

With increasing emphasis placed on sustainability, flexibility, and user-centric educational environments, this project presents a meaningful opportunity to deliver high-performance engineering solutions that support the next generation of learning spaces. We are proud to contribute our expertise in institutional developments, integrated building services design, and complex project coordination to help shape a sustainable and future-ready academic campus for Hong Kong.

This appointment further reinforces WOBSE’s continued commitment to delivering innovative engineering solutions for transformative education and institutional developments across the region.
