Times Square Retail Re-configuration and Renovation, Cinema Conversion
Times Square, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

The works required careful planning and phased implementation to ensure uninterrupted operation of the retail mall throughout the entire A&A period. Particular attention was given to vertical circulation re‑planning, fire and life safety compliance, acoustic performance and crowd management, especially for the integration of the new cinema complex at high levels.
The reconfiguration optimised spatial efficiency and tenant flow, enhancing connectivity between floors and improving overall user experience. Back-of-house facilities, loading arrangements and MEP systems were comprehensively upgraded to support new retail and F&B functions as well as the relocated cinemas.
The project represents a major transformation of an operating retail complex, balancing commercial viability, operational continuity and architectural quality within a dense urban context.
