Cheung Sha Wan Rental Housing is a large‑scale public housing development undertaken by the Hong Kong Housing Authority, comprising Public Rental Housing (PRH) blocks at Site 3 and Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) blocks at Site 5 of the former Cheung Sha Wan Wholesale Food Market.

 

The development provides approximately 3,400 residential flats, with a maximum permissible domestic GFA of about 205,000 sq.m. and non‑domestic GFA of 16,000 sq.m.. Designed with green building initiatives, the project integrates residential towers with a comprehensive range of supporting community and estate facilities.

 

Key provisions include a kindergarten (at Site 3), retail and recreational facilities, ancillary estate facilities, car parks, a long‑span footbridge, a free‑standing Refuse Collection Point (RCP) building, sewage pumping station, and street fire hydrant pump and tank room.

 

With a total site area of approximately 3.59 hectares, the building services design adopts a coordinated engineering approach to support high‑density residential living, environmental performance, safety, and long‑term estate operation, contributing to a sustainable and resilient public housing community.
